Larimar Pendant

Unusual piece of Larimar that isn’t small or faded! To have the veining and red in a piece this sizable is rare. Measures 2 1/8” x 1 1/4”

Larimar- With colors ranging from white to various shades of blue, pectolite from the Dominican Republic is the loveliest in the world. Traces of copper contribute to this blue coloration. The finest stones are dark blue and translucent, but sky-blue specimens with cloud-like patterns are also highly prized.

Gardening is a passion for me and I come from a long line of gardeners on my mother’s side. So it was natural I bring nature to my pieces. Often I abstract the imagery and a pattern will become the band of a ring or the texture on a pendant. My fascination with historical jewelry finds its way into my pieces as well.
I hand carve my tiny pieces out of wax and cast them in the lost wax casting process. They are then hand constructed with various metals and unusual stones.
